Contract #1 (General Construction)

The State University of New York at SUNY Plattsburgh will receive sealed bids for project number 111058-00 titled Sundowner, Bakery/Cafe, Halal Dining Facility Renovation until 3:30 p.m. local time on Friday, February 9, 2024 at 101 Broad Street, Plattsburgh, New York 12901 Kehoe Administration Building Room 702, where such proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud.

All work on this Contract is to be completed within/by:

  • Phase I (Halal Shack and Market/Café) – 08/09/2024

  • Phase II (Sundowner) – 01/03/2025

Section 143 of the State Finance Law requires payment of a deposit to receive these documents. Accordingly, a deposit check of $49.00, made payable to State University of New York at Plattsburgh, is required. Deposits less than $50.00 are nonrefundable. Deposits will be waived for certified Minority and Women Owned and Service Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses.

A Mandatory Walk Through will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. local time (Changed by Addendum 1), in the Alumni Conference Room, 2nd Floor Angell College Center.

Bids must be submitted in duplicate in accordance with the instructions contained in the Information for Bidders. Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the Total Bid.

It is the policy of the State of New York and the State University of New York to encourage minority business enterprise participation in this project by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and all bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy.

The State University of New York reserves the right to reject any or all bids.


Contract #2 (Food Service Steel Fabrication)

The Campus Auxiliary Services (CAS) at SUNY Plattsburgh will receive emailed bids for Contract No.2-Café & Halal Shack Food Service Steel Fabrication Contract until 3:30 p.m. local time on 2/9/24. Bids shall be emailed to:

Campus Auxiliary Services (CAS) reserves the right to waive any informalities and reject any or all Bids or to accept the one that in its judgment will be for the best interest of the Owner.

NYS DOL Prevailing Wage does NOT apply to this project. The work is tax exempt.
