PART 1 - GENERAL
1.01 PROJECT INFORMATION
A. The City of Glens Falls (City) is seeking bids from qualified contractors to supply all labor, equipment and materials required for the “Clerk’s Office Renovation” project located on the 1st floor of City Hall, 42 Ridge Street, Glens Falls, NY 12801. Sealed bids will be received by the City of Glens Falls at City Hall, 42 Ridge Street, Glens Falls, NY 12801 until 11:00 AM, local time on Tuesday, August 5th, 2025, at which time, bids will publicly opened and read aloud at City Hall in the 2nd floor common area.
B. Please address bids to: The City of Glens Falls Purchasing Department, City Hall 2nd Floor".
C. Copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained by Prime Contractors, Subcontractors and Vendors at www.camelotplanroom.com. For other inquires, please contact Nicholas Lobosco n.lobosco@ctmale.com.
D. A Pre-Bid Conference for the project will be held on Thursday, July 24th at 10:30 AM. The pre-bid meeting will take place on the 2nd Floor of City Hall, located at 42 Ridge St., Glens Falls, NY 12801. A tour of the Clerk’s Office will follow. Prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to attend.

G. Attention of the Bidder is particularly called to the Owner's sales tax exemption, the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and the minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract. In addition, the Bidding Documents for this project contain detailed requirements for the qualification of Bidders. These include, among other things, rigid bonding and insurance requirements, financial statements, bank references, lists of lawsuits, arbitrations or other proceedings in which the Bidder has been named as a party, a statement of surety's intent to issue Performance and Payment Bonds, and a description of other projects of similar size and scope completed by the Bidder.
H. Bids shall be prepared as set forth in “Instructions to Bidders”, enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing on its face the name and address of the Bidder and the title of the Work to which the bid enclosed relates. Each Bidder shall deposit with its bid, security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the “Instructions to Bidders.” No Bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual bid opening. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bond required for the work.
I. The Owner reserves the right to waive any and all informalities in or to reject any or all bids. All bids shall include a “Non-Collusion” statement. The Owner further reserves its right to disqualify Bidders for any material failure to comply with the “Instructions to Bidders”.
